Tragic Violence in Minna: Bank Driver Killed and Activist Attacked

In a tragic incident in Fadikpe, a suburb of Minna, Niger State, hoodlums fatally attacked a bank driver named Mohammed Abo’ore and assaulted a public affairs activist, Nura Yarima. Abo’ore was attempting to assist local vigilantes in apprehending miscreants utilizing an unfinished building for cannabis smoking when he was stabbed with scissors by one Nura Buhari, ultimately succumbing to his injuries at the General Hospital in Minna.
Wasiu Abiodun, the Police Public Relations Officer for Niger Command, confirmed the grievous incident. “Information was received from a vigilante leader in Fadikpe area of Minna that some miscreants were sighted,” he stated. Following this alert, vigilante members mobilized in the area for an arrest in anticipation of police assistance. Despite their efforts, Abo’ore was tragically stabbed during the confrontation.
Additionally, the PPRO reported an unrelated attack on Nura Yarima, a public affairs commentator who was assaulted by identified miscreants, including Mansir Kabir and his associates. Yarima sustained severe injuries during the attack at a shop along Bosso Road. One suspect, Mansir Kabir, has already been arrested, and investigations are in progress to apprehend the remaining assailants responsible for this violent act.
