Airtel Uganda has launched an electric motorcycle loan initiative in collaboration with Spiro Uganda and GnuGrid CRB. This program enables Airtel mobile money users to secure loans for electric motorbikes via their mobile devices, streamlining the purchasing process.
Airtel Uganda has partnered with Spiro Uganda and GnuGrid CRB to introduce an electric motorcycle financing initiative in Uganda. This new loan market allows individuals connected to Airtel mobile money to initiate the process of acquiring a new electric motorbike directly through their mobile phone. Gaurav Anand, the Managing Director of Spiro Uganda, highlighted that this automation streamlines the purchasing process, encompassing everything from the down payment to the completion of the transaction, thereby facilitating easier ownership.
The collaboration between Airtel Uganda and Spiro Uganda marks a significant advancement in motorcycle financing, particularly with regards to electric vehicles. By leveraging mobile technology, this initiative not only enhances accessibility to electric motorbikes but also promotes sustainable transport options in Uganda.
