The Inlander Restaurant Week 2025 offers a unique chance to experience India House’s culinary delights, featuring a special $35 menu. Highlights included appetizers like subudana pakore, main dishes such as chicken methi mali, and desserts including carrot cake halwa and paan ice cream. Reservations are recommended during this promotional event, available from Tuesday to Sunday at their multiple locations.

The month leading to Inlander Restaurant Week is an exciting time for food enthusiasts. As the new food writer for the Inlander, I looked forward to exploring Spokane’s culinary landscape. My first destination was India House, located at 4410 S. Regal St., where my sister and I sampled the Restaurant Week special menu priced at $35 per person.

We began our meal with an appetizer selection that was delightful. We sampled the subudana pakore, which featured fritters made of tapioca, potatoes, cumin, and herbs. The singhara aloo tikki provided a variation with fritters made from water chestnut flour, potatoes, and fresh spices. Both dishes were artfully presented with a medley of sweet and creamy dipping sauces.

For our main courses, I ordered chicken methi mali while my sister opted for the vegetarian methi matter mali, which included tofu and green beans. Both curries, rich in fenugreek and ginger, were creamy and flavorful. We chose to have our dish at a medium spice level, which delivered a pleasant heat accompanied by naan and rice to savor the accompanying sauces.

To conclude our meal, I chose the carrot cake halwa, reflecting my appreciation for carrot cake. This dessert consisted of roasted carrots, nuts, raisins, and cardamom, yielding a moist yet crumbly texture. My sister selected paan ice cream presented in an ornate chalice, characterized by its unique betel leaf flavor complemented by rose petal jam and coconut flakes, making it an unforgettable experience.

India House continues to offer its standard menu alongside the special Restaurant Week offerings from Tuesday to Sunday, 11 AM to 9 PM, across its three locations. Reservations are advisable, which can be arranged via phone or through their website at indiahouse.us.

Inlander Restaurant Week provides an excellent opportunity to experience diverse culinary creations within Spokane’s vibrant food scene. The Restaurant Week menu at India House impressively showcases Indian cuisine through its flavorful appetizers, mains, and desserts. As a perfect introduction to this celebration of food, both my sister and I left with an enhanced appreciation for local dining.
