Additionally, the NCM has warned of potential fog formation in regions such as Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah.
On the same day, an intense sandstorm swept through various regions of Saudi Arabia, as predicted by the NCM, bringing gusty winds and low temperatures to Qassim, Riyadh, the Eastern region, and parts of Najran. The storm notably affected Riyadh, shrouding the capital in dust and fog, reducing visibility and prompting a weather alert.
As a result of the poor visibility caused by the sandstorm, the traffic department advised drivers to exercise caution and drive cautiously. Reports included an incident where a BMW overturned after colliding with a roadside barricade near Takhassusi Street, prompting a swift response from the Riyadh police.
The General Directorate of Civil Defense cautioned citizens to refrain from venturing into outdoor areas to prevent accidents during the tumultuous weather.
