Recent food poisoning incidents have been reported internationally, raising serious public health concerns. Key incidents occurred in the UK, where American chicken imports face scrutiny; in Bangladesh, where street food contamination affected over 100; in Saudi Arabia, leading to a dessert chain closure; in India with contaminated flour; and across Vietnam and Hong Kong, where specific food safety issues prompted official warnings and investigations.

In recent reports concerning global food safety, various incidents of food poisoning have been documented across several countries, including the United Kingdom, Bangladesh, Saudi Arabia, India, Japan, Vietnam, and Hong Kong.

In the United Kingdom, concerns arose regarding American chicken imports treated with chlorine and antimicrobial washes. Lord Rooker of the Labour Party cautioned about the salmonella risk associated with these imports, highlighting that one in 25 chicken packages from US supermarkets is contaminated. He emphasized that the UK must prioritize public health in any trade agreements.

The Hong Kong Centre for Health Protection has issued a warning about the dangers of foraging wild mushrooms after a 60-year-old woman experienced severe symptoms after consuming them. Officials urged the public to avoid picking wild mushrooms due to confusion over edible and toxic species and emphasized the importance of seeking immediate medical attention in cases of suspected poisoning.
