Tata Motors has launched its full EV portfolio in Mauritius in partnership with Allied Motors, featuring three models: Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev. Key specifications highlight a range of 190-375 km across models, complemented by substantial warranties and support services. The Curvv.ev has not been included in the launch, but there are indications of future releases.

Tata Motors has successfully launched its complete electric vehicle (EV) lineup in Mauritius through a collaboration with Allied Motors, excluding the Curvv.ev model. The launch includes three distinct models: Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev, offering a variety of options for consumers in different segments.

The Tiago.ev is a compact hatchback equipped with a 24 kWh battery, providing a range of 190-210 km. The Punch.ev, a compact SUV, features a 35 kWh battery with a range of 270-290 km, while the Nexon.ev serves as a larger electric SUV containing a 45 kWh battery, offering a range of 350-375 km. Each model boasts instant torque that varies from 190 Nm to 215 Nm, with the Nexon.ev achieving acceleration in as little as 8.9 seconds.

To ensure customer satisfaction, Tata Motors is offering extensive warranties: 8 years or 160,000 km on battery and motor, and 7 years or 150,000 km for the vehicle itself. Customers will also receive a complimentary 7.2 kW home charging wall box. Allied Motors will leverage Tata Motors’ technical training to provide both sales and after-sales support.

The development into the Mauritian market comes shortly after Tata Motors’ expansion into Sri Lanka. While the official pricing for the EVs in Mauritius has not been disclosed, it is anticipated that the Tiago.ev will be the most affordable option, followed by the Punch.ev and Nexon.ev as the premium model. It is also worth noting that the Curvv.ev has been excluded from this initial launch, with hopes for future introduction alongside the Safari.ev and Harrier.ev, which are also pending release in India.

In summary, Tata Motors has launched its electric vehicle offerings in Mauritius, featuring three models that cater to various consumer preferences. With strong warranties and comprehensive support from Allied Motors, Tata aims to enhance customer satisfaction in the growing EV market. The absence of the Curvv.ev leaves room for potential future expansions in their lineup.
