LOXEA Nigeria has launched BYD electric vehicles, becoming the first to introduce this global brand to the Nigerian market. LOXEA Nigeria, a subsidiary of CFAO Mobility, has officially launched BYD (Build Your Dreams) electric vehicles in Nigeria, marking a significant entry of a global EV brand in the country. As the pioneer in introducing these vehicles, LOXEA aims to enhance mobility solutions across Africa by providing a range of 100% electric vehicles from BYD.
In addition to offering BYD vehicles, LOXEA supports the electric vehicle ecosystem by providing services such as installing electric charging stations, maintaining vehicles, and supplying spare parts. The introduction includes an inaugural charging station at the LOXEA showroom on Victoria Island and a solution for convenient home charging.
Mr. Mehdi Slimani, the Managing Director of LOXEA Nigeria, expressed pride in distributing electric vehicles and associated services, emphasizing the showroom’s role in promoting electric mobility. He stated that it is crucial for CFAO Mobility to contribute to Nigeria’s energy transition.
BYD, a leading multinational in electric and plug-in hybrid vehicles, achieved a significant milestone by producing its 10-millionth NEV in November 2024. The company not only leads in innovation but also claims the title of global sales champion in new energy vehicles for three consecutive years.
Marc Hirschfeld, the CEO of CFAO Mobility, highlighted the importance of the launch, indicating that BYD’s innovative capabilities align with market demands in Africa, indicating the need for a new mobility ecosystem that encompasses various stakeholders, including urban transport networks and governmental bodies.
CFAO Mobility operates Africa’s largest vehicle retail network, providing a multi-brand offer for all mobility sectors.
