Tata Motors Expands EV Offerings to Mauritius with Three New Models

Tata Motors launched its electric vehicle lineup, including Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev, in Mauritius with Allied Motors. Tata Motors has launched its electric vehicle (EV) lineup in Mauritius, introducing the Tiago.ev, Punch.ev, and Nexon.ev in collaboration with Allied Motors, a prominent automobile distributor. This event marks Tata’s first international expansion outside the SAARC region, reflecting its commitment to fostering electric mobility. The models are built on advanced high-voltage architectures designed to enhance performance and efficiency.
Yash Khandelwal, the Head of International Business at Tata Passenger Electric Mobility, emphasized the strategic significance of Mauritius in Tata’s global EV strategy. He mentioned that the success of TATA.ev in India and SAARC markets will facilitate Mauritius’s transition to electric vehicles, supported by a strong partnership with Allied Motors.
James Ngan, Managing Director of Allied Motors, described the partnership as transformative for the automotive landscape in Mauritius. He noted that the TATA.ev lineup provides an ideal blend of performance, efficiency, and advanced technology, complemented by robust after-sales service. Ngan expressed optimism that these electric vehicles would initiate a revolutionary change in transportation across Mauritius.
The Tiago.ev is marketed as an entry-level EV, featuring a real-world range of 190-210 kilometers and fast-charging capabilities. Meanwhile, the Punch.ev offers SUV practicality with premium features, including a 26.03 cm Harman infotainment system, and a range of approximately 270-290 kilometers. The flagship model, Nexon.ev, boasts a 350-375 kilometer range and rapid acceleration, reaching 0-100 km/h in just 8.9 seconds, alongside premium amenities such as a 360-degree camera and JBL audio system.
All TATA.ev vehicles come with an extensive warranty, including 8 years or 160,000 kilometers on the battery and motor, and a 7-year vehicle warranty. Additionally, customers will receive a complimentary 7.2 kW home charging wall box. Allied Motors will deliver full sales and after-sales services through its trained network, ensuring high service quality standards.
