Botswana has experienced tragic consequences from the flooding, with reports indicating at least nine fatalities, largely due to drowning incidents, and over 5,000 individuals impacted by unprecedented rainfall. Minister for State President Moeti Mohwasa shared the grim updates, noting that six of the deceased were minors, further emphasizing the human toll of this natural disaster.
In his address to Parliament, Moeti Mohwasa highlighted the escalation of evacuations, with over 1,800 individuals now moved from affected areas. Calvin Moalosi, a local resident, described the scene, stating, “I have never seen so much water in my life.
