Provisional Candidate List for Nimba Senatorial By-Election Unveiled

The National Elections Commission (NEC) of Liberia has unveiled a provisional roster of eight candidates vying for the forthcoming Nimba County Senatorial By-Election, set for April 22, 2025. Mack Gblinwon from the Citizens Movement for Change, Edith Lianue Gongloe-Weh, George Parkinson Gonpu representing the African Democratic Movement, Samuel Gongben Kogar from the Movement for Democracy and Reconstruction, Richard Matenckay Tingban from VOLT, Garrison Doldeh Yealue, Jr., and Justin Oldpa Yeazeahn, also known as Prophet Key, all Independents.

Furthermore, it has indicated that any candidate or party wishing to contest the appeals may do so in accordance with the established electoral regulations.
