Concurrently, Midea Group, a major home appliance corporation from Guangdong, revealed a humanoid robot prototype that can perform diverse actions such as handshakes and driving screws.
Industry expert Ma Jihua commented that the introduction of humanoid robots in China is indicative of the rapid progression towards mass production capabilities. He expressed optimism that the prices of these technologies could soon rival those of common household items like televisions. Furthermore, Ma highlighted the abundant opportunities for robotic applications in sectors including eldercare and educational assistance.
In February, President Xi Jinping emphasized the importance of promoting healthy development within China’s private sector, as reported by the official Xinhua News Agency.
