Aprilia Rider Anticipates Argentina MotoGP Return as Jorge Martin Recovers

The 2025 Argentine MotoGP marks its return to the calendar this weekend, with Marco Bezzecchi excelling in anticipation. Jorge Martin continues to recover from a wrist fracture and will miss the race, with Lorenzo Savadori standing in. The team aims to enhance the RS-GP25 in preparation for Martin’s return.
The 2025 Argentine MotoGP is set to return this weekend, marking its first race in the country since 2023. Aprilia rider Marco Bezzecchi expressed his excitement about returning to the track, especially after missing last year’s event. Both Bezzecchi and team member Lorenzo Savadori, who is standing in for the injured Jorge Martin, aim to enhance the RS-GP25 in preparation for Martin’s eventual comeback.
Marco Bezzecchi stated, “I am very happy to finally return to Argentina because I really like this track and I was sorely disappointed about not going last year. We did a good job in Thailand and we need to keep improving along with the team. I can’t wait to be on the track.”
Unfortunately, Jorge Martin is recovering from injuries sustained in a pre-season testing crash and another accident prior to the Thailand MotoGP, which resulted in a fractured left wrist. Martin elaborated on his rehabilitation process, acknowledging its challenges as he works to return to racing as soon as possible.
Aprilia team principal Massimo Rivola confirmed Martin’s absence from the upcoming Argentine race and highlighted the seriousness of his injury. Rivola remarked, “According to what the doctor said… everything went right and now it’s time to just wait for the recovery. The fracture was quite bad… for sure we won’t put him on the bike if he’s not in very good shape.”
Lorenzo Savadori expressed his commitment to support Martin in achieving optimal performance upon his return, emphasizing the team’s objective. Savadori noted, “We are working in the right direction and the goal for the weekend is to continue growing the RS-GP25 more and more so that we can give Jorge [Martin] the best possible bike upon his return.”
In summary, the Argentine MotoGP marks a significant return to the schedule, with Marco Bezzecchi expressing enthusiasm for this event after the previous year’s absence. Jorge Martin continues his recovery from injuries, with Massimo Rivola confirming that he will not participate in the upcoming race. The team’s focus remains on improving the bike for Martin’s safe return, as Savadori is poised to contribute essential support in the interim.
