Scott was found murdered, and authorities are still searching for additional suspects linked to the crime. Musembi’s death raises concerns about the brutal nature of the case.

A suspect in the murder investigation of Scots businessman Campbell Scott in Kenya has been found dead, according to local authorities. Samuel Musembi, believed to have transported Mr. Scott’s body over 100 kilometers, reportedly committed suicide. Mr. Scott, originally from Dunfermline, disappeared during a work trip to Nairobi; his body was subsequently discovered, tied in a sack of pineapples, in a forest 66 miles from the city.

Musembi allegedly drove the vehicle that carried Scott’s remains from Nairobi to Makongo Forest in Makueni County. Recently, detectives confirmed Musembi’s death occurred while he was evading capture, having been discovered seriously injured by a friend in Dandora. The friend found Musembi had inflicted a stab wound upon himself and attempted to gain hospital admission before being transported to Kenyatta National Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

The investigation surrounding Campbell Scott’s murder continues, with police seeking additional suspects. Musembi’s death raises questions about the brutal circumstances surrounding Mr. Scott’s demise, where evidence suggests he was kidnapped, tortured, and robbed. Key suspects remain at large, complicating the ongoing investigation into this tragic case. Authorities are cooperating with local and international resources to apprehend the remaining suspects connected to Mr. Scott’s murder and potential financial crimes committed against him.
