A college student from Loudoun County, Virginia, named Sudiksha Konanki, aged 20, has been reported missing during her spring break trip to the Dominican Republic. Authorities confirmed she was last seen on March 6 at the beach near the Riu Republica Resort, where she was vacationing with five female college friends.

The Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office reported that Sudiksha Konanki holds Indian citizenship and is a permanent resident in the United States. They are collaborating with federal partners, including the U.S. Department of State, FBI, DEA, and Homeland Security Investigations, alongside the University of Pittsburgh police to support the ongoing investigation led by the Dominican National Police.

A statement from The Aware Foundation noted that she was last seen in a brown, two-piece bikini, wearing large round earrings, a metal designer anklet on her right leg, yellow and steel bracelets on her right hand, and a multicolored beaded bracelet on her left hand. In a statement regarding the situation, a University of Pittsburgh representative affirmed the institution’s ongoing support for Konanki’s family and collaboration with local and federal authorities.
