Clarence Enyi Mfor, a criminal illegal immigrant from Cameroon, was arrested in San Antonio by DPS agents. He was wanted for sexual assault since January 2025. Tips leading to arrests can earn rewards through Texas Crime Stoppers, which has facilitated numerous arrests this year. Citizens are advised not to confront fugitives directly.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) recently announced the arrest of Clarence Enyi Mfor, a fugitive on Texas’ 10 Most Wanted Criminal Illegal Immigrants List, in San Antonio. Mfor, 37, originally from Cameroon, was apprehended on March 2, 2025, due to a warrant for sexual assault issued in Bexar County since January 2025. Notably, a Crime Stoppers reward will not be issued for his capture.

Mfor has a history of immigration issues, having been previously arrested by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in California in 2019 for alien inadmissibility, and again in May 2023 in San Antonio for lacking an immigration visa. He was released from detention following the latter arrest. The operations leading to his capture involved DPS Special Agents from the Texas Anti-Gang Center in San Antonio.

Texas Crime Stoppers, funded by the Governor’s Public Safety Office, incentivizes citizens with cash rewards for tips leading to arrests of individuals on the 10 Most Wanted Lists. In 2025, 13 individuals, including three sex offenders and four illegal immigrants, have been apprehended, resulting in $20,000 in rewards.

Individuals wishing to report tips must utilize one of three methods: call the Crime Stoppers hotline at 1-800-252-TIPS, submit a tip via the DPS website by selecting the fugitive, or use Facebook to submit a tip anonymously. All submissions ensure anonymity for the tipster.

DPS collaborates with local law enforcement to compile the 10 Most Wanted Lists, which are available with images on the DPS website. Citizens are urged not to confront these fugitives directly, as they may be armed and dangerous.

The apprehension of Clarence Enyi Mfor marks a significant development in the ongoing efforts of Texas law enforcement to capture fugitives on the 10 Most Wanted Lists. His case reinforces the importance of community involvement through Crime Stoppers in reporting illegal immigrant offenses. Furthermore, these captures underscore the collaboration between DPS and local law enforcement in ensuring public safety.
