The Directorate of Criminal Investigations has announced that the suspects, identified as Benard Mbunga Mbusu, Samuel Musembi Kamitu, and Alphonse Munyao Kilewa, also known as Edu, have fled and are currently evading law enforcement. In a public appeal, the police have requested assistance from anyone who may have relevant information about the suspects’ locations, sharing their images on social media to facilitate leads.
Mr. Scott was last seen on February 16 while participating in a conference at the JW Marriott Hotel in Nairobi. His body was discovered approximately 66 miles southeast of the city, with his hands bound. In a related development, a Kenyan court granted police permission to detain the two suspects for an additional 21 days for further inquiry into the case.
Scott, originally from Dunfermline, Fife, served as a senior director at Fico, a credit-scoring firm, since 2014. Following the announcement of his passing, Fico expressed its grief, stating, “We are devastated by this tragic news. Campbell was a leader in our international scores business.”
Furthermore, a representative from the National Police Service of Kenya condemned the act, labeling it as a “heinous, heinous crime” while mentioning that the homicide unit is leading a complex investigation. Additionally, a spokesperson from the Foreign Office indicated that they are assisting the family of the deceased and coordinating with local authorities in Kenya.
