Kuwait’s cold winter ends on Saturday, signaling the start of the Hameem season and the emergence of spring. This period will last until April 2 and is known for its weather fluctuations, including dust storms and rain. The spring equinox will occur on March 20, marking equal day and night. Dherar Al-Ali forecasts continued rain and strong winds until Saturday morning, with an improvement in conditions by noon.

The Al-Ojeiri Scientific Center has announced that Kuwait’s cold winter will conclude on Saturday, heralding the arrival of milder weather and the first hints of spring, according to reports from Al-Seyassah. This transition signifies the start of the Hameem season, which follows the Scorpion season and precedes the Dhiraan season, expected to last until April 2.

Hameem season is characterized by notable weather fluctuations, exhibiting patterns of atmospheric instability with temperature variations, rainfall, and dust. As spring intertwines with winter, the region may experience dust storms and sporadic rainfall, along with rising temperatures, thunderstorms, and cumulus clouds.

The Hameem season is divided into two parts, marked by the equinox on March 20, where day and night are equal in length globally. This equality is influenced by the sun’s angle and the geographical latitude from the equator. The commencement of the Hameem season indicates an approach toward the summer period.

Dherar Al-Ali, the acting director of the Kuwait Meteorological Department, indicated on Thursday that rainfall would persist until Saturday morning, accompanied by strong southeasterly winds exceeding 60 km/h, resulting in reduced visibility due to dust waves. By Saturday noon, a clearer weather pattern is anticipated, with Friday’s conditions forecasted to maintain similar dusty weather. Daytime temperatures are expected to reach 24-22 degrees, dropping to 11 degrees at night.

Kuwait is set to transition from its winter season to the Hameem season, which will bring a blend of moderate temperatures, potential dust storms, and rainfall. The period will involve continuous weather changes until early April, marked by an equal length of day and night on March 20, preceding the onset of summer. As the region braces for these fluctuations, weather conditions will likely stabilize by Saturday afternoon.
