Galileo Resources Plc released an update on Licence 28001 in Northwest Zambia, confirming stratigraphy through drilling and outlining future exploration plans aimed at copper mineralization. Key geological features have been identified, with follow-up work planned post-rainy season.

On March 5, 2025, Galileo Resources Plc provided an update regarding its exploration activities on Licence 28001 located in Northwest Zambia. This Licence aims to identify redox fronts that are similar to Kamoa-Kakula-type copper mineralization.

The exploration has yielded significant results, with two drilled holes totaling 706.4 meters confirming the stratigraphy of the entire Licence area. This data is essential for planning future drilling locations and prioritizing stratigraphic sequences associated with potential copper mineralization.

Detailed geophysical surveys and sediment analysis have highlighted parts of the Licence likely containing key geological features for mineralization. The Company is now planning to commence follow-up work post-rainy season, focusing on identifying specific drill targets.

Colin Bird, Chairman and CEO, emphasized the importance of this phase of exploration in the Western Foreland area, noting the potential for significant discoveries due to the proximity to some of the richest copper mines globally. The subsequent exploration campaign is eagerly anticipated following the rainy season.

The current exploration strategy will target inferred redox boundaries based on identified stratigraphy. Planned activities include soil and stream sediment surveys, as well as electro-magnetic surveying, with positive results to be followed by diamond core drilling.

Technical information released was reviewed by Edward Slowey, Technical Director of Galileo, who possesses extensive experience in mineral exploration. He approved the content, ensuring it meets industry standards. This announcement is also considered inside information under market regulations.

Galileo Resources Plc’s latest update on Licence 28001 in Northwest Zambia showcases the company’s proactive approach in exploring for copper mineralization. The drilling activities have confirmed key stratigraphy, while subsequent plans for follow-up exploration underline the potential of the area. With positive indications from preliminary surveys, further exploration is expected to yield focused drilling targets, holding promise for significant copper discoveries.
