Proforce Secures Orders for PF Hulk Vehicles from Mali and Nigeria at IDEX 2025
Proforce has confirmed orders for the PF Hulk vehicles from Mali and Nigeria at IDEX 2025. The PF Hulk, based on the Russian AMN-590951 ‘Spartak’, meets STANAG protection standards and is produced in Nigeria. The company also offers an upgraded variant, the PF Viper, designed for better performance in Africa’s environment.
At the International Defence Exhibition & Conference (IDEX) 2025 in Abu Dhabi, Proforce, a Nigerian defense manufacturer, announced that both the Mali and Nigerian governments have placed orders for its PF Hulk protected vehicles. These vehicles are produced under a licensing agreement in Nigeria.
The PF Hulk is derived from the Russian AMN-590951 ‘Spartak’ 4×4 protected vehicle. It features a five-door configuration accommodating a crew of two plus eight passengers, weighs 14.5 tonnes, and is equipped with a 6.65-litre YaMZ-536 six-cylinder engine that generates 360 horsepower. The vehicle’s mine protection is compliant with STANAG 4569 standards, meeting levels 2a and 2b.
In addition to the PF Hulk, Proforce has introduced the PF Viper, an upgraded variant of the Otokar Cobra vehicle. This enhancement includes the addition of two extra doors to convert it to a five-door model and modifications to improve engine cooling, catering specifically to the African climate. The PF Viper has a weight of seven tonnes and is powered by a 3-litre V6 Hyundai engine producing up to 250 horsepower.
