Cyber crimes in Indonesia have resulted in Rp 33.29 billion in losses as of August 2015, with 36.6 million reported attacks over the past three years. Setya highlighted a new trend: the hacking of luxury vehicles, facilitated by new internet-connected technologies like Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. This issue gains particular relevance considering cases in other countries, such as the reported 6,000 incidents of keyless-entry car theft in London in the previous year.
